Australia has just taken a major leap

Australia has just taken a major leap in cancer care with the launch of its first MRI-guided cryoablation system at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney — a machine capable of freezing tumors into solid “iceballs” without the need for open surgery.

One of the first patients, Josephine Cordina, said she went from unbearable, constant pain to feeling “back to normal” in just a single day.

By targeting tumors with extreme precision and protecting surrounding healthy tissue, this breakthrough could transform how doctors treat cancer and chronic pain — offering safer procedures, faster recovery, and new hope for countless patients.
