Mom is a mom is a mom.

There are many documented cases of mothers adopting babies of other species.

The story began when a researcher set out a game trail camera while studying a wild boar population. He placed it near a boar’s den to monitor how the mothers were feeding their young. For weeks the footage showed nothing unusual, piglets huddled together, nursing and eating under their mother’s watchful eye.

Then, during one late night review, in between sips of coffee, he thought he saw something move at the edge of the screen. He rubbed his eyes, rewound the clip, and leaned closer. To his disbelief, a baby fawn stepped out of the bushes, hesitated for a moment, and then walked straight to the boar’s den.

There, right in front of the camera, the fawn lowered its head and began eating alongside the piglets as if it were one of them. The researcher sat back in awe, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. This kind of relationship had never been documented before.

After showing colleagues, the discovery sparked calls for further investigation into the unlikely bond. When asked about the footage, the researcher said, “It really opens the door to how little we truly understand about the way animals live and interact”

This discovery is a great reminder of how much we still have to learn about the world around us, keep exploring! 
The animals could teach the humans a lot.
