The world number 80 took to social media revealing the damage caused by the blistering Tasmanian sun, sharing a topless photo of her back in a bathroom mirror, with her shoulders red raw due to the heat.

Renata Zarazua’s Tennis Career

Zarazua has been making waves in Mexican tennis, becoming the first woman to break into the top 100 in both singles and doubles.

Her breakthrough came at last year’s US Open where she defeated the reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys, becoming the first Mexican to defeat a top-10 seed at a Grand Slam in nearly three decades.

She later claimed that, due to nerves, she considered not showing up to her first round match at Flushing Meadows.

She said: “I swear, I don’t know what happened to me today. I was just so nervous before going on court. I woke up, and I just had the urge to cry. It was almost like I was afraid of taking the court, and that’s never happened to me before.
