A paper plane from my grandson uncovered my DIL’s secret and got me banned from seeing him

After my husband passed, living alone at 71 was difficult. The only thing that gave me hope was being there for my grandson, Timmy. But one day, my world crumbled again—my daughter-in-law suddenly cut me off from his life.

When I visited their home, she screamed, “Margaret, you are no longer welcome. Timmy doesn’t want you either.” Heartbroken, I turned to leave, but then I heard Timmy’s voice. From his window, he shouted, “Grandma, catch this,” and tossed down a paper plane.

On it, in his shaky handwriting, was a chilling message: “Grandma, please help me. I’m not safe. Don’t tell mom and dad.” I couldn’t sleep that night, worried sick. I returned late that night through the broken gate my late husband once tried to fix.

Timmy told me his parents constantly fought, and a strange man visited often. He felt scared and trapped.

I turned to Billy, a retired cop and close friend of my late husband. After using his contacts, Billy discovered my son was under investigation for drugs, and my daughter-in-law was involved with dangerous criminals.

I contacted social services immediately. They found Timmy had witnessed drug abuse and domestic violence. He was removed from the home, and I was granted temporary custody.

Both my son and his wife were later imprisoned.

Raising a child at my age isn’t easy—but I would do anything to keep Timmy safe and give him a better future.
